Legal
Terms
Last updated 8 November 2026
These are the terms for using this website and its community library. They are written plainly on purpose.
Pre-release
Logline, the software, is pre-release. Its own repository says nothing in it is ready for use. This site describes it as it is and may describe things that change or go away. The site itself is also young. Use both at your own risk.
The library
The library holds sourcetypes and dashboards that users of the site publish. It is user content: the site does not review it before it appears.
- By publishing, you confirm that you may share what you upload and that it contains no secrets, no personal data and no text copied from documentation you do not have the right to share.
- Unless an item's description says otherwise, a published item is shared under the Apache License 2.0, the same license as the engine.
- Anyone may download and use an item. Check what it does before running it against your own data; a sourcetype is a parsing recipe and a dashboard runs searches.
- The operator may remove any item, version or account, in particular after a report, and may do so without notice.
- You may delete your items and your account at any time from the account page.
Accounts
One account per person. Keep your sign-in secure; what is done with your account is yours. The operator may suspend an account used to spam, harass or publish harmful content.
No warranty
The site and everything downloaded from it are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a purpose. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for damages arising from using the site or its content.
Changes
Changes to these terms are announced on the changelog and take effect when published there. Disagreements are to be settled fairly and in good faith; raise them through the owner's GitHub profile.
